Breathwork and Pranayama are ancient practices. There are so many styles that are used for a variety of purposes. Some are invigorating and some are more balancing.
Down-regulating: Box Breathing, Heart Coherent Breath, 4:8 Breath
Up-regulating: Circular Connected, 3 Part Breath, Wim Hoff, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika
(just to name a few)

These styles of Breathwork are ACTIVE and Trauma-Informed!
Sessions are 45-60 minutes of breathing in and out through the mouth while laying comfortably on a mat with blankets. As the CO2 and O2 exchange is altered, the brain begins to downshift out of the primal state. Instead of a constant narrative running in the background we begin to drop deeply into a somatic (bodily) experience.

Modifications will be taught for those who have high blood pressure not controlled by medication, major heart conditions, osteoporosis, detached retina, persons who are pregnant, are living with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia or who have a history of epilepsy or seizures and for those on heavy doses of medication's or who may be abusing alcohol or drugs.
